Mentsen designed the Farnsworth shelf to be strong yet visually light. The beauty of this architecture inspired piece is in the repeating interlocking joints – a structure that does away with diagonal bracing in favour of clean horizontal and vertical lines. At each interval the oak shelves appear to clasp the uprights effortlessly.
